Material

Leather

The Nordform Worker briefcase is made from vegetable tanned full grain leather. Nordform lists quite a lot of information about the material on their site. The leather is LWG Gold Rated among several other certifications which is a huge plus for us. It’s nice to know the material is of good quality, but also that the people who make it work under good and modern conditions. In general Nordform offers a lot of information about their materials, with dedicated pages filled with information for those who enjoy thorough research before a purchase.

The leather feels very premium, with the beautiful vegetable tanning flexing its muscles. Stretch marks and other scars are visible if one studies the leather, but aren’t overly noticeable from afar.

The color of the leather is very durable, and easily passed our scratch tests. It is possible to create marks in the material, but these sort of blend back over time – especially if treated with some care products.

After over 4 months use, the exposed parts of the briefcase – bottom corners, handles, exterior pockets – still look very good.

Zippers

The zippers used in the Nordform Worker briefcase are from YKK. YKK is a huge company, and their zippers are used in many, many products all over the world. While they may not be as premium as RiRi or Raccagni, they are extremely durable and very well tested. They also feel very smooth and sturdy when used. Overall, no issues here.

Padding & Interior

The Nordform Worker bag is padded with Alcantara. This italian material is quite nice; it feels good & soft, receives nice reviews and usually lasts a very long time. The interior zipper is also YKK. Most edges of the interior pockets are decorated with leather – this both looks good but also improves the longevity of these parts.

Strap

The shoulder strap is made from a mix of leather and what seems to be nylon. Again, the quality seems good, and the nylon padding is a nice to to improve the longevity of the leather strap.

Design

We absolutely love Worker’s look. It’s classic, minimalistic and expensive all in one. The briefcase is made from leather that doesn’t collapse when the bag is empty. We love bags with this feature, simply because it looks great and feels very premium. The bag is medium-sturdy and not as firm as e.g. the Carl Friedrik Palissy (read our review here).

The positive effect of this is that the bag is more flexible to the content inside, and ultimate can fit quite a bit more stuff. For those who value asthtics above all else, it might be a negative, as the bag is more prone to have “waves” in the leather. We find the hybrid method to be the best of both worlds. Worker combines elegance with versatility, offering a premium appearance alongside the capacity to accommodate all your essential items.

The exterior zipper pockets on Nordform Worker are great for quick access, and they are large enough to house various items. Too often these pockets on briefcases have a “form over function” feel to them, being mainly decorative. That is not the case here, which is a huge plus.

The bag is very understated, and you wont find any obvious logos on the product. On all zipper grips a small “NF” logo is engraved, and inside the bag “NORDFORM” is engraved as well. This makes the outside of the bag basically logo-free, which is a rare feature.

Next to the front zipper pocket a so called “attachment ring” is placed. The ring looks cool, but we haven’t found much use for it to be honest. We suppose the idea is to attach larger items like headsets or airplane pillows to the ring for convenience – but in everyday use, we did not find noteworthy use for it.

The briefcase has Louis Vuitton-style handles in leather. These seem to be of good quality, and after 4 months use they still hold op perfectly. This type of handles always look great.

The bottom of the bag is padded with 5 metal feet to protect the leather from the ground and make it able to stand upright. The bag does tip over quite easily, especially when empty – best to lean it on something.

The interior of the bag is pretty standard: large laptop pocket, medium sized sipper pocket and a few smaller pockets. The only thing that really stands out is the 5 pen holders – 2 probably would have been enough for most people. The Alcantara lining used for the interior feels very nice and premium.

Overall the feel & look of Worker is very high end.

Price, Service & Conclusion of Nordform Worker

Especially considering all the points listed in Material and Design Worker’s price tag is very impressive. The bag feels much more expensive than it is, especially compared to much of the competition.

Worker is listed at €409 including express shipping to most EU countries, which is hugely impressive when running through all that you get: Certified Veg Tanned Leather YKK Zippers Italian Lining Handmade in Turkey or Italy 5 Years Warranty Free Express Shipping 100 Days Return

The Danish company also receives good reviews on social media and on their own website – although we always take reviews on companies own sites with a grain of salt.

However, their score on TrustPilot is also impressive on 4,7 stars with over 1100 certified reviews.
